Heading into the summer, the recruiting cycle is truly set to heat up as some of the Nation's top recruits will start to take their official visits before committing to a program. The recruiting records are constantly changing especially the Industry Rankings as the 4 major recruiting services constantly tinker with their rankings.

After re-evaluating players based on their Junior season tape and performances at some of the elite recruiting camps, 24/7 Sports re-ranked its Top 247 players, which shook up the industry's 5-stars.

After the recruiting rankings, LSU commit Tristen Keys remains the Nation's best wide receiver and a 5-star recruit in the Industry Rankings. Keys did fall one spot in the rankings as Georgia commit Jared Curtis jumped into the 2nd ranking. As long as LSU is able to keep Tristen Keys on board, he will be the centerpiece of the Tigers' recruiting class.

The LSU Football team already has a second 5-star committed in Richard Anderson who was the first player to commit to the Tigers in this recruiting class. As the 27th ranked player in the class, Richard Anderson does fall one spot in the rankings but, he's still one of the most dominant players in the class.

This week, the LSU Football team was predicted to land 5-star offensive lineman Darius Gray which is massive news for the Tigers. As 24/7 Sports raised Darius Gray's ranking, he's now the 23rd ranked player in the class. Landing Gray would be massive for LSU's chances at landing the Nation's best class while giving the Tigers a potential instant starter.

In his debut as a defensive lineman, Lousiana Native and top LSU target Lamar Brown is the 7th ranked player in the class per 24/7 Sports making him the 8th ranked player in the Industry rankings. Brown is truly a freak athlete and recruit as he could play any position on the offensive line or defensive line. LSU is in a battle for Brown with Texas A&M and after missing out on Jahkeem Stewart he's a player LSU needs to land.

In-State target Blaine Bradford is currently committed to Ohio State but, given LSU's ties to Bradford he'll be a player the Tigers look to flip until he signs on the dotted line. Bradford falls in the Industry rankings from 28th to 30th but, remains a 5-star recruit which would only make it a bigger addition for the Tigers in this recruiting class.

Immanuel Iheanacho is a recruit the Tigers have seriously turned the heat up on but, still also have plenty of work to do. Iheanacho will be a headline recruit for any program that lands him as he remains a Top 3 recruit overall in this class.

LSU Football's path to the Nation's Top Class

As things currently stand, the LSU Football team holds the Nation's top recruiting class according to On3, but as LSU only has 9 commitments, the Tigers will need to land elite recruits the rest of the way to maintain the top class. If the Tigers are truly going to close out this recruiting class with the top class, it starts with keeping Lamar Brown In-State. From there, the Tigers landing a 4th 5-star recruit in Darius Gray would truly make it tough to beat the Tigers. LSU is also in the drivers seat for several 4-star recruits and have a few on board that could earn 5-star status.
