Detailing LSU Football's massive weekend of recruiting visits
This weekend is far and away LSU's biggest recruiting weekend of the season as the Tigers will get a ton of commits, flip targets, and uncommitted targets on campus for the game against Alabama. A win in a big game like this builds a ton of momentum for the program while the environment itself win or lose sticks on everyone. The Tigers will have a ton of recruits on campus this weekend but, these stories are far and away the biggest.
All of the spotlight will be on LSU's three five star recruits returning to campus with Bryce Underwood and DJ Pickett getting the most of that attention. Michigan has turned up the heat on LSU ramping up their efforts on the NIL front to flip Underwood but, he's stayed firmly committed to LSU as he's only visited LSU since committing. DJ Pickett has visited in-state Miami a few times as his cousin plays for Miami but, all he has said is that he's locked in with LSU.
Underwood, Pickett, and Harlem Berry being on campus helps as LSU will get Jahkeem Stewart on campus for his official visit. The race for Jahkeem Stewart has been sped up as he reclassified into the 2025 signing class with Oregon, Ohio State, and USC all trying to pluck Stewart out of New Orleans. This weekend needs to be a great trip for Stewart if LSU is going to keep him In-State but, having Frank Wilson is the biggest advantage for LSU.
Mississippi Native and LSU commit Tyler Miller will be in town as LSU takes on Alabama. Getting Miller on campus this weekend of all weekends is massive as In-State Ole Miss pushes heavily to flip the top-60 recruit.
Safety commit CJ Jimcoily will also return to campus, which is good news for LSU as there was some fear that he may flip as Vanderbilt turns its program around.
The biggest flip target to watch is Auburn safety Anquon Fegans who'll return for his second game visit this season. Fegans is committed to Auburn but, has taken visits to LSU and Alabama this season, as Auburn continues to stumble down the stretch don't be shocked if LSU makes a run at Fegans.
2026 safety commit Aiden Hall will be on campus this weekend which should help out as LSU tries to land 2026 five-star Blaine Bradford. The Tigers reeled in Jacob Bradford before the Ole Miss game and the next step is landing the Five-Star safety as LSU looks to stack impressive defensive back classes.
Defensive Lineman JaReylan McCoy named LSU one of his three finalists earlier this month and he'll be on campus this weekend. Given that Ole Miss is also one of those three finalists, getting the Mississippi native on campus this weekend is great news for LSU rather than him attending Ole Miss vs Georgia.
It'll be a family affair once again as Zach Weeks, Colton Nussmeier, and Darryus McKinley will all be on hand to watch their brothers while also holding offers from LSU.
Five-Star cornerback and Ohio State commit Na'eem Offord was originally planning to come in for the game but, he'll instead watch his brother play at Tulane this weekend. It was going to take a massive effort to beat out Ohio State or even Auburn where Offord has visited a ton so it's not a massive blow that he won't be in attendance but, it does kill any chance LSU had at building momentum.
By the time all of the visits are set, LSU should have nearly 100 recruits in attendance for this weekend's game.
A ton of eyes will be on the basketball program as they try to land New Orleans Native Chris Cenac who will be visiting this weekend. Matt McMahon will have to beat out some of the Nation's biggest powerhouses to win out in this recruitment but, the Tigers get the last visit before Early Signing Day so winning out this weekend would be massive.
