While LSU lost in embarrassing fashion it wasn't even close to the other embarrassment for LSU last week. Governor Jeff Landry spent the entire week orchestrating for a live Tiger from Florida to come to the game for the first time in over a decade as Mike the Tiger doesn't leave his sanctuary. Landry landed on Omar Bradley the Tiger which became more of a distraction and a spectacle than it was worth.

The reveal was severely underwhelming and LSU made it travel and stay the night in its cage just so the crowd would see it for seven minutes before it was taken out of the stadium.

At LSU there is the Purple Pants game but, the Omar Bradley game now joins it in embarassing things LSU likely won't ever do again.

Jeff Landry was more optimistic about the Tiger and less optimistic about the team taking credit for his move.

"Our tiger, our live tiger, unfortunately, disappointingly, was the only tiger who showed up Saturday. I’m sorry."

Landry also says that the Tiger showed up which is a much nicer way of saying transported across State lines and held captive to be used as a prop for 7 minutes.

Jeff Landry further went into tradition as to why he brought the Tiger in but, the issue is he attended UL Lafayette and Loyola New Orleans rather than LSU.

"I’m going to tell you something. This is about tradition. And the thing about tradition is about respecting those who came before you."

The highlight of Landry's conversation is where he blamed the federal government for passing the Big Cat Act as it was put in place so people like him didn't go crazy and cross the line.

"The federal government passed some crazy act called the Big Cat Act. The federal government wants to regulate everything you do."

Let's keep Tiger Stadium a Stadium rather than a circus

Jeff Landry got his one time this weekend bringing the Tiger back to LSU's Sidelines but, it should end there. The entire week became a circus as Brian Kelly had to answer questions about the Tiger's return becoming a distraction. We'll see if Landy lets up from his constant push but, more likely than not we'll see this stunt pulled again.
