The Summer has arrived which has brought about Official Visit season in College Football. The next few weeks will be filled with the Nation's top recruits traveling around the Country to each of their top programs as they look to close in on making their decisions. For the LSU Football team, this weekend will be one of the most important for the Tigers as several of LSU's top outstanding targets will make their way to Baton Rouge.
Heading into this weekend, LSU holds the Nation's top ranked recruiting class with 9 commits on board. If LSU is able to make a strong impression this weekend, the Tigers could quickly see their number of commitments rise heading into the fall. This weekend, LSU hosts a loaded group of recruits with a chance to enter the short list of teams in consideration.
The highest ranked recruit on campus this weekend will be elite offensive tackle recruit Immanuel Iheanacho. The 5-star offensive tackle is ranked as the 3rd ranked player in the class, the 2nd ranked offensive tackle, and the top player out of Maryland. Schools like Oregon have been the presumed leader in this recruitment for a long time but, the Tigers have made a serious surge and can become a serious contender the rest of the way.

While LSU will have one of the most sought after players in the Country on campus, he won't be the headliner this weekend. Quarterback recruit Bowe Bentley will make the trip to Baton Rouge after rescheduling his official visits moving his trip to LSU up. Bentley is currently between LSU and Oklahoma and the Tigers will get the chance to pitch Bentley first. Landing Bentley would be massive for the Tigers as the quarterback can help recruit elite players like Immanuel Iheanacho and can help keeping a receiver like Tristen Keys in this class.

One of the latest recruits to cut their list of schools down while including the LSU Football team is offensive lineman Drew Evers who released his Top 6 on Monday. After making the Top 6 for Evers, the Tigers will get the chance to make an impression on Evers as he'll make his way to Baton Rouge this weekend. Drew Evers is ranked as the 218th ranked player in the class, the 16th ranked offensive lineman in the class, and the 30th ranked player out of Texas.

This weekend, the LSU Football team will look to make a move with one of the Nation's top edge rushers with Trenton Henderson making an official visit to Baton Rouge. After LSU got Henderson on campus for a visit this Spring, the Tigers now get a return visit from Henderson. The 55th ranked player in the Country has a loaded field recruiting him but, if LSU can make a strong impression this weekend they could become a major player down the stretch.
One of the Nation's top athletes will make his way to Baton Rouge this weekend as 4-star recruit Joel Wyatt comes to campus. Wyatt is being recruited by plenty of schools at wide receiver but, the Tigers interest in Wyatt is for his ability playing safety. In-State Vanderbilt and Tennessee will be tough to beat out but, the Tigers are right in the mix for Wyatt as official visits are underway.
This weekend, defensive line recruit Emanuel Ruffin set three official visits the first of which is to LSU this weekend. While Ruffin is ranked outside the Top 300, the interest LSU, Alabama, and Ohio State are showing speaks to the level of player many feel he can be at the College level. Given that Ruffin plays his High School football in Alabama, the Crimson Tide will be tough to beat out but, LSU

Staying on the defensive line front, the LSU Tigers will host elite defensive line recruit Deuce Geralds on a visit this weekend. The Georgia Native is ranked as the 93rd best player in the class, the 6th ranked defensive lineman, and the 9th best player out of Georgia. Landing Deuce Geralds will be tough as he's an Ole Miss legacy while schools like Ohio State and Oregon have been in the mix for a long time in this recruitment with Ohio State holding the crystal ball prediction.
As of late, the LSU Football team may not be recruiting a player harder than they are pushing for offensive tackle Zaden Krempin. This Spring, Joe Sloan and Brad Davis each made visits to Texas to visit Krempin while hosting him on an official visit to Baton Rouge in March. This weekend gives LSU's staff another chance to make a strong impression as the Tigers look to add a 4-star offensive tackle to the class.

After picking up an offer from LSU and visiting Baton Rouge this Spring, Brayden Fogle returns to Baton Rouge this weekend for an official visit. Alex Atkins is in his first recruiting cycle as LSU's tight ends coach which is exciting as he was always an excellent recruiter on the offensive line. LSU has plenty of competition but, Fogle is the 157th ranked player in the class and the 9th ranked tight end which would make for a big splash addition for the Tigers.
Defensive Lineman Jamarion Carlton will announce his College Commitment on July 10th meaning this recruitment is nearing its conclusion. The LSU Football team has been heavily involved in recruiting Carlton and this weekend, the Tigers will look to make another strong impression. Carlton is the 43rd ranked player in the Class and the 8th ranked edge rusher in the class making him a potential headline piece if LSU is able to beat out a loaded field.
This weekend, LSU will get elite safety recruit Devin Jackson back on campus after he took a trip to Baton Rouge this Spring. The Tigers will look to get into the mix for Jackson after he decommitted from Florida earlier this Spring. As Jackson reopens his recruitment, LSU will be battling against Florida, Miami, and plenty of other suitors looking to land a commitment.
The LSU Football team already has 3 wide receivers committed in this recruiting class but, the Tigers have shown no signs of slowing down. This weekend, Cortez Hankton gets another elite wide receiver on campus as Wide Receiver Jalen Lott makes his way to Baton Rouge. The Tigers are 1 of 10 finalists for Lott who's ranked as the 2nd best athlete in the class but, the Tigers have steep competition especially with In-State Texas.
As the week goes along, it wouldn't be a surprise to see the Tigers only add to the list of players planning to attend the loaded recruiting weekend. On official visit weekends like this weekend, the Tigers truly can determine how high this recruiting class finishes if the team can make a strong impression.
